So NDK was about a week ago, and I gotta say I was a little disappointed this year. First off, they moved to art room to the furthest freaking room they could find (not to mention the smallest one) and didn't put up any signs for where it was. I had to ask about 20 different people ><
Secondly, some of the artist tables in the atrium made me want to die. I mean, there was a beautiful steampunk-themed table, and 3 or 4 digital artists who had many amazing prints, and then there were 2 tables with awful half-assed customized shoes and plushes. Those artists made my soul cry. I mean, I would just DIE to have the opportunity to sell my art like that, and they wasted it with some shoes that they literally threw together at the last minute and glued-together plushes. Yeti wanted to smack a bitch.
And then there was the fangirl. I shit you not, this girl had seen my Sora Shoes, mimicked them for herself, and strutted around like she owned the world. She took to following me around when she saw me putting them and my Katamari shoes up for display. She also had the nerve to tell me my art is way overpriced because none of it was digital. I. Wanted. To. Maim. Her.
Other than that, there were a lot of beautiful cosplays, interesting panels, and an all-around friendly atmosphere. I got to hug the Daft Punk cosplayer n3n life mission accomplished.
On another note, I am finally cracking and selling a few pairs of shoes. As much as I love them, I love being able to eat more. Due to issues with ebay I'll be selling them here, but I'm not entirely sure how to go about doing it :/ if you have any suggestions, either leave a comment or note me please. The pairs will be:
